Deep transformation starts at the top
Leaders in today’s volatile and fast-changing world need to do so much more than deliver on
the bottom line. Today’s leaders need to:
Build a Cohesive Team
Create and Convey Clarity
To do so, they will have to:
01.
Articulate their organisation’s
purpose and mission
04.
Create positive cultures at work so talent can thrive, and performance can be at its best
02.
Influence with empathy, communicate clarity and communicate with emotional intelligence
05.
Build agile, resilient organisations at the same time as deliver results for shareholders in increasingly challenging environments
03.
Understand that true success comes from being connected: having trusted relationships with their employees - and their customers
06.
Be mentally tough, authentic, collaborative...
07.
And build trust.
A Herculean task! One that is difficult to achieve without the right leadership team.
And practically impossible if leaders are pulling in different directions and displaying contradictory behaviours and values
The key lies in creating deeper human connections in the LTs, connecting leaders with a
common purpose, values and goals and gaining true leadership alignment.
The Connected leader is an essential part of Open Water’s Connected program. Change in attitudes and behaviours come from the top. Using diagnostics and in-depth interviews Open Water’s Master Coaches gain insight into the leaders’ strengths, beliefs, and attitudes as well as what they want to achieve. They then work with leadership teams in intensive workshops, online and face-to-face, to identify their ‘why’ and help them align on the ‘what’ and the ‘how.’
A key focus in these sessions seeks to build a cohesive team, create alignment and clarity. And very importantly: create stronger human connections in the team. We know that the success of the desired outcome will depend on leaders’ ability to build trust. During a Connected leader session, we work to ‘reset’ perceptions (beliefs), helping leaders shift from seeing colleagues as professional ‘functional heads’ to ‘humans with complex needs and emotions’.
Why
Connected Leader?
